Becoming Sally

I’ve long complained about how I am unable to work any of the complicated things that Nerdguy has set up in our house.  I used to run a computer network – as in I was paid to do this, and I spent my days rolling my eyes at the other people I worked with, and saying things like, “Are you sure it’s plugged in?” – spoiler alert – it wasn’t.  So how did I become this person who can’t operate my own television, make a phone call, or turn on the lights?  I ask for The Clapper every Christmas (that’s mostly just to anger Nerdguy) and I need to make sure one of my kids is home to operate the TV.  They get pretty angry when I haul them out of bed to fix it for me.  Pretty snarky little things for kids who insisted they weren’t tired and “can’t sleep” an hour before.  As much as I would love to blame Nerdguy for making things more complicated than they need to be (which he totally does…WHO makes a PVR out of an XBOX?), I have to admit that I am no longer the young whipper snapper I once was, and it’s only a matter of time before I am trying to change channels with the portable phone like Sally. {that’s a true story about a family member but the names have been changed to protect the ridiculous}

LG has a new Smart TV powered by WebOS that was voted the #1 Smart TV for overall ease of use in a survey conducted in May.  Watch the video and see how Granny does up against the punk with the mohawk – that’s the new whipper snapper.

I’m going to go ahead and put this on my Christmas wish list – one for me and one for “Sally.”
